Sabine is a physician and Director Research & Development at Profil. She has been working in diabetes since 1989, starting with Professor Michael Berger’s group at the Clinic of Metabolic Diseases and Nutrition, Heinrich-Heine University hospital, Duesseldorf, where she worked for several years. Afterwards she was with Novo Nordisk for 9 years, being responsible for quite a number of clinical trials in Germany, Austria and Switzerland, especially short- and long-acting insulin analogue, and inhaled insulin trials. Sabine joined her former University colleagues Prof. Lutz Heinemann and Dr Tim Heise at Profil in 2003. She has been Principal Investigator for several clinical phase I PK/PD and glucose clamp trials with new antidiabetic compounds.
