Training as study nurse

IHK-certified study nurse training program at Profil Germany

Profil is the first company in Germany to offer an IHK-certified study nurse-training at its site in Neuss. The comprehensive training sessions include approx. 100  hours (plus hospitation time) containing lessons from numerous areas.

The following topics are taught by Profil Germany

• Pre-clinical activities, Phases I to IV, approval via European Medicines Agency and US Food and Drug Administration
• Pharmacokinetics / pharmacodynamics / clinical pharmacology / toxicology
• Regulatory activities including audits and authority inspections
• Quality management, and monitoring
• Project management (i.e. milestones, development of trial logistics, trial protocols, study preparation and -performance, resource-management)
• Diabetes / metabolic diseases
• Hospitation: investigation methods at Profil Germany

In addition, there are a number of modules taught by IHK

• Work organisation and self-management
• Basics of communication
• Working in a team
• Working with patients
• Medical English – English terminology
• Basics of employee management

We offer an ongoing education for all of our study nurses / study assistants. The costs are funded by Profil. Class times are considered working hours. The program ends with an official examination of the "IHK Mittlerer Niederrhein". Upon the successful completion of education each participant will receive an IHK-certificate.
